Frederic Bastiat's arguments against socialism are as valid today as when first published in 1850. 2 cassettes.

What Customers Say About The Law:

The problem is that I don't think the Free Patriot Press edition is worth the price. In a classic example of catch-22, this edition sells well because it's ranked high which in turn keeps the high ranking and even more sales - but don't let that fool you.

Check out the link. Bastiat's book is a classic and still widely read.

Take advantage of the Look Inside feature and you'll see the text for yourself and see what I mean. Personally, I prefer the following edition: The Law , and find it much easier to read.

My low rating refers only to the edition from one publisher - Free Patriot Press, and is not based on the content of the book itself. It's all in a bold, sans serif typeface, and the paragraphs aren't even justified.

There is nothing I can add to the excellent reviews about the books content, but this edition stinks.

Bastiat argues his case well. The publisher of this version leaves a lot to be desired. Look elsewhere for your copy. Good material. This copy is plagued with typesetting errors and poor formatting.

free government is wrong from a historical perspective, you'll find some support here. Bastiat makes the case that socialism/communism/marxism/statism, whatever you want to call it, has been around well over 200 years now. Those that want to tell others how to live and those that prefer self-direction. If you're looking for something that supports the argument that social governance vs. I'm amazed when I read this type of material that man's inhumanity to man is nothing new. It may change its' name or be less or more violent but as humans, we always seem to organize in one of two ways. It hits the same stumbling blocks now as it did then.

Just what I expected. The book came in fine and dandy shape and in a timely manner.

I bought both, because I wanted to give out free copies. The edition by BN Publishing is cheaper and half the price. Buy the one by BN Publishing - it is just as good.
